Kolmar Awarded Grant for Tree Planting

October 23, 2017

Kolmar Avenue School recently was awarded a grant from the Chicago Region Trees Initiative (CRTI).

Though the grant Kolmar will plant trees on the property to help the CRTI's initiative to build urban forest and protect the environment.

"We are thrilled to be awarded a grant from The Morton Arboretum and Chicago Region Trees Initiative. The award also enables us to partner with two premier organizations committed to conservation and preservation of trees. The grant provides us with 15 trees that will be used to beautify our campus, provide shade for our children, and shelter for wildlife.  The award will enable us to plant trees on a scale we wouldn't be able to without their generous support," said Principal David Creech.
